“When we were facing a talent shortage in Brisbane, Access Offshoring gave us the confidence to think differently. Meeting Tiffany was the turning point – she helped us see how offshoring could work for our business and guided us every step of the way. We now have three offshore bookkeepers and we genuinely see our offshore team as an extension of our business.”Kelli Beauchamp, Go Figured Bookkeeping

Go Figured Bookkeeping, a Brisbane-based bookkeeping firm supporting SMEs, worked with Access Offshoring to solve a local talent shortage and now has a trusted offshore team of four bookkeepers supporting their growing workload.

The challenge

Go Figured Bookkeeping had always relied on local hires to staff their growing office. However, around two years ago, the Brisbane market faced a serious talent shortage. Recruiting skilled bookkeepers became increasingly difficult, putting pressure on its director, Kellie, to find an alternative solution.

Adding to the challenge was Go Figured’s prior perception of offshore work. Most of the firm’s exposure came through “rescue files” or poorly completed bookkeeping jobs they had to fix after clients switched providers. This experience left Kellie skeptical about the quality of offshore talent and hesitant to pursue that route.

How Access Offshoring helped

Kellie met Tiffany English, CEO of Access Offshoring, who gave her the confidence to rethink offshoring as a genuine solution. Tiffany highlighted that Go Figured had only seen one side of offshore work: the bad files needing rescue. She encouraged Kellie to experience the other side: highly skilled, well-supported offshore professionals.

Access Offshoring helped Go Figured hire their first offshore bookkeeper whose performance quickly dispelled any doubts. With a strong recruitment and integration process, the Go Figured team was able to build trust and see the value offshore talent could bring.

Access Offshoring brought in three more bookkeepers to balance workloads between Brisbane and the Philippines and provided cultural training resources, helping both the onshore team better connect with their offshore colleagues.

The outcome

Go Figured now has three offshore bookkeepers who are fully embedded into the business. Their onshore team regularly visits the Philippines for in-depth training, process alignment and team building – turning offshore collaboration into a real extension of their Brisbane office.

Looking ahead, Go Figure is considering expanding its offshore team further. Their success demonstrates that with the right partner, offshoring can be a powerful way to solve staffing challenges, maintain quality, and build a stronger, more connected business.
