Encourage Time Management Provide tools and guidance on effective time management. This ensures tasks are completed efficiently, even as the holiday spirit starts to permeate. P.S. If you’re not already doing this on a day-to-day, you should be.

Gamify Work Challenges This is one of my favourites! Infuse an element of fun into work challenges. Gamification can boost team engagement and keep productivity levels high. There’s nothing like a bit of competition to end the year. 😉

Utilised Technology Smartly
Leverage collaboration tools effectively. Platforms like Google Chat, Teams, Slack and Asana can streamline communication and project management during the holiday season.

Reflect and Celebrate Achievement This often gets missed as we frantically start to achieve the next goal, but it’s important to take a moment to reflect on the team’s accomplishments throughout the year. Celebrate milestones, both big and small, to foster a sense of achievement and motivation.

Offer Well-Being Initiatives Provide well-being initiatives, such as virtual wellness sessions or mindfulness activities. We recently treated our whole team to a 90 minute massage. A focus on mental health can contribute to sustained productivity.

Cross-Team Collaboration Encourage collaboration between your Australian and offshore teams. Shared projects foster a sense of unity and shared purpose. This helps both teams appreciate each other and their contributions to the bigger picture.

Empower Autonomy and Ownership Encourage a sense of autonomy and ownership in projects. Allowing your offshore team to take charge of specific initiatives fosters a feeling of responsibility, boosting engagement and productivity.
